MMU and Liverpool
Hope University College have entered a partnership to deliver Entrepreneurial
Learning in Liverpool schools.
Enterprise
Classrooms: Eight schools undertook the initiative 2003/2004 receiving
small funds to deliver their own entrepreneurial activity. Class teachers
undertook CPD sessions in entrepreneurial learning at Liverpool Hope
using the best practice coming from MMU's initial pilots as a guide.
Liverpool's first batch of pilot schools tended to lean towards 'social
enterprises' using their funds to deliver activities to benefit the
wider community.

2004/05
will see eight new schools undertake the Enterprise Classrooms initiative.
The
schools have each assigned teachers to undertake the CPD course in entrepreneurial
learning, whilst agreeing to undertake a partnership in social enterprise
in support of Liverpool's Capital of Culture success. This will see
all eight schools work together in delivering a large scale social enterprise
by delivering an already piloted project i.e. SIGNAL (schools inter
generational nurturing and learning project).
