These include pupil activities, games, circletime activities, stories, animations, literacy workshops, mental maths etc. Our interactive stories are delivered using a projector and whiteboard and are perfect for assemblies. Interactive Stories Here Comes Trouble - A story about bullying and relationships. An ideal way to start a new term. This story focuses on relationships within the classroom and tackles the important issues of bullying and peer pressure. The story encourages children to think carefully about their own behaviour and consider the consequences of their actions on those around them. After the story there are a number of workshops designed for the ICT suite or classroom. Children can use software to design an anti-bullying poster for the school or use graphics from the story to write a storyboard. Up in Smoke: This story was written for KS2, particularly as a cross-phase project for children about to enter secondary school. It demonstrates the health risks associated with smoking and attempts to equip children with the strategies needed to combat peer pressure. The intention is to give children the facts about smoking in order for them to make their own informed decisions. Girls Can't Play: Few would dispute that one of the more difficult tasks facing schools today is tackling gender stereotyping. Not only do schools need to deal with the biases and traditions of education itself; they also have to cope with the messages young people learn from everyday life. This story focuses on some of these issues and is an excellent starting point for work on equal opportunities. The story has also been designed to support literacy work and there are excellent support materials, which encourage the use of ICT in the literacy hour. Trevor's Christmas Adventure: It’s the delightful story of a young boy’s adventure one magical Christmas Eve. Suitable for Key stages one and two, the story can be performed to a class, year group or whole school. “A lovely heart-warming story that helps us to remember the true meaning of Christmas.” Coming Soon: I am currently working on a project dealing with loss/bereavement and divorce. This should be available for September. We also deliver workshops on a variety on subjects. Movie Trailer Workshop Children design a movie trailer for The Lord of the Rings. This includes writing the script, working with images and logos and a soundtrack. TV Commercial: Children produce an animated TV commercial for Childline. The subject is bullying and children write a poem and then create a Powerpoint presentation using images and a soundtrack. Cartoon Workshop: This can be delivered traditionally with pencil and paper or in the ICT suite using paint or similar drawing packages/software. We also deliver software training in most common titles used in schools including all Microsoft Office applications, textease, junior pinpoint, internet, etc. Contact
