CONFLICT MANAGEMENT - 1 & 2 DAY COURSES

One Day

  • Conflict management (plus, if required, Personal Safety).
  • Body Language: know what happens to yourself and others before, during and after a conflict.
  • The Law Regarding: Self Defence (of yourself, others, and property)
    • How much force the law says you may use to defend yourself in certain cercumstances?
    • What constitutes an Assault and other similar offences?
    • The criminal law if you are an employer or an employee.

Two Day

All the above plus basic self defence including (if required):

  • Basic control and restraint - (C&R techniques).
  • Personal safety covering most places including the home, the street, at work.

JU-JITSU

The most streetwise self defence available .. from basic to Black Belt. This style of self defence includes:

  • Avoidance techniques, escapes to chokes, strangle and holds whilst standing in the ground.
  • Arm/wrist locks, leg locks, head locks, hold downs.
  • Defence to one or multiple attackers standing on the ground
  • Throws including one handed techniques ... AND
  • If required, the use of and defence to certain weapons.

TAIHO-JUTSU

This is an Aikido based system that has been used and taught to the British Police. It includes Aikido and Judo techniques.

  • Locks, hold downs, throws.
  • Weapons and kata forms can be taught from basic to black Belt standard.

There is also a sport side to this art which is a good way of getting fit and improving one's reactions and techniques. It is a point scoring sport based on the use of a Tanto (a small rubber knife).

JUDO

Basic, intermediate and advanced.

  • Including throws and hold downs, strangles and chokes.
  • Locking techniques.

This is a good basic form of self defence which can also incorporate the competition side.

KARATE

Freestyle street orientated. Incorporating defences to various types of strikes, avoidance techniques and utilising other forms of martial art.

KICKBOXING

This is a combination of full contact Karate and Thai Boxing. Suitable for people of all ages whether young or mature. It can be as physically demanding as one may wish to make it. However, it will get you fit as you learn to defend yourself.

The basic standard of this sport includes boxing techniques, along with kicking techniques (which when learnt correctly gives you a good basic self-defence system incorporating punching and kicking combinations.

If you wish to progress, the sport also includes elbow and knee techniques along with neck wrestling for close in situations.
