What is it all about then?

Freewheelers project has been funded by the Campaign for Learning, Millenium Awards. It's all about learning new skills and improving the ones you have. Learning through enjoyment, alongside parents and guardians. The project has partnered with LYBRO ( Liverpool Youth Bike Organisation) in providing a focused activity for children attending the club.

Parents/guardians and their children have joined in re-fitting and servicing an old motorcycle. Individual skills amongst adults were identified, and as a team we set about listing all the processes we needed to finish the bike for a national competition in July. We worked out what a website should look like to celebrate our joint efforts, and we wrote to as many organizations we thought could help us i.e. some of the bike parts needed renewing!!!!

Throughout the project we shared our skills, whether bike mechanics or letter writing skills, ICT ability or bike manual deciphering!! We all had a part to play.

'Many hands make light work'……lets hope a motorbike too!
