The
100 Circles Its best to practice
drawing a few circles first and make sure you hold the pencil vertically
all the time otherwise the accuracy suffers and the pencil lead breaks.
Once you have got the hang of it you can you can try this exercise to
draw 100 circles with the same centre (Concentric Circles).
Start with the very small
circles 1mm, 2 mm, 3 mm, and 4 mm, drawing each one around the last.
Lighting is quite important to help get them evenly spaced.
Now place the Disk Compass with the centre pin at the centre of the
circles you've drawn.
Carefully draw the 5 mm circle first and if it is in the right place
press on the centre pin to ensure it stays there.
If not adjust the position of the pin until you are happy.
Draw the 6 mm circle next (the hole right next to the 5 mm hole).
When drawing these small circles it may be helpful to turn the disk
using your other hand instead of forcing it to move with the pencil.
Cary on drawing circles with each one 1 mm larger than the last by choosing
the next hole around the spiral on the disk.
